the urban turban

i remember watching leelee sobieski aka aldys martin aka "alpo" from never been kissed and wondering why they gave her such a rocking head wrap when they wanted her to look geeky. alpo was just ahead of her time i guess.

last summer i saw the PRADA turban in person.
'twas amazing.
for how obsessed i was with it, i am surprised at
myself for not making myself one sooner.

well, i finally scooted over to the fabric store, got some scraps and some elastic and voila....

small, and large, and if you're too lazy to sew, just tie a knot in it

VERRRRRRy cute! I'm glad you found some time in between all your work and school to do a creative stint in the sewing room!

I'm also glad you don't pair your headwrap with the mini-- though you have the legs for it!

oh mama. you crack me up. don't ever say you're boring, because that would be a lie-- and if you still hold the same punishment for lying... i owe you a swat on the toosh with a wooden spoon!

i've tried a few on and i can't get them to look right. when you are wearing your hair down do you just set them over it or do you pull some hair through? i know that is a weird question but i really like them and i want it to work for my life.

sept. 7 i think
obviously we dont have to go those dates, but I figure maybe aug, sept??? that way it would give us poor peeps to save a little cash for some amazing shopping.
