it is a holiday that shames people into wearing something red &/or pink and then buying something red &/or pink for their significant other. the shame then trickles down to those who don't happen to have a significant other on 1 of 365 days.
do we really need the candy-card-and-diamond people to remind us who we love and why?

here's your challenge. don't spend a dime on these cheesy things. tell him you love him and be done with it.
instead, spend a dime or two on these quirky cards on any day of the year you choose.

It's so weird to me that people get so bent out of shape over a holiday. If you don't want to buy diamonds, don't. If you don't want to wear red or pink, don't. See? It's easy.
