russ & i talked frequently about how excited we were to share things we loved as kids with hayes. movies, books, music, games, etc. and one day i shot off a list of movies that i adored as a kid.
movies like: heavyweights, little big league, rookie of the year, little giants, dennis the menace, ( i know--what i am a 8 year old boy??) harriet the spy, matilda & chitty chitty bang bang.
we started with chitty chitty bang bang... a real trippy movie now that i am watching it again (the kid catcher is terrifying), but i loved it as a kid. this time around i can't help but drool over the costuming, the sets, and the choreography. so stellar!
what am i missing from my list?

Aww hope you feel better soon! I just got over it! That was such a neat idea to buy the movies for you- I don't know what your missing from the list cuz.... well let's just say I no longer qualified as a "kid" with any of these movies except chitty ;)

Ah good ol' Truly Scrumptious! We too own this movie...did you ever watch Chipmunk Adventure? G-niz and I are watching it right now. What about Flight of the Navigator or Goonies? Good ones.
Last week at our family BBQ I thought I was hilarious as I ate my chicken and said, "Tastes like paint..." Dennis The Menace is an all-time favorite.
I love all of those!! Some of my other fav's were/are: Camp Nowhere, Follow That Bird, Toupe Beverly Hills, 3 Ninjas, any PeeWee Herman movie, and most of the Disney movies!! What a great gift idea.
Whoops :) so sorry. It was only cousins, not many people. But it would have been so fun to have you and your little baby there!!!! I can't wait to see you at the wedding. I hope you are bringing little Hayes.
I LOVED dennis the menace! Umm cant really think of any off the top of my head (more of a reader when I was little) except for all the disney movies. Lion King especially. Love. It.

We got chitty chitty bang bang for Christmas 2 years ago. I turned it on one morning and jumped in the shower, Wyatt came running in terrified. I guess I should've watched it first! I loved 3 ninjas, and Matilda!!!
