i've mentioned that in the last couple weeks, i've really got the itch for fall.

no matter how much i love a certain season (summer) i always anticipate the next one,

which is probably a good thing i live in a four seasons type of place!

so now is about the time where i start wanting to wear new fall pieces i've acquired, but it's still one hundred degrees outside. here are some easy summer to fall transitional looks that will aid you in getting to wear that new sweater (but still rocking your summer sandals) or get those perfectly worn in boots back in the rotation (but still in a breezy floral dress.)

i've been recently obsessing over finding a (faux) leather vest and coming up short until

last week i did a long overdue closet raid at my little sister Bethany's, and cha-ching! we routinely trade off piles of clothes and it's so refreshing to have a rack full of (temporary) new pieces that doesn't cost you anything. i love raiding Bethany's closet because she never shies away from edgy pieces (like her vest and shoes above) while i am such a CPW freak, if i don't see myself wanting to wear it multiple times a week, i don't buy it. the faux leather vest has proven to be super versatile, so i'm definitely on the hunt for my own so i can release the hostage back to B.

it's funny, because i would tell you that everyone should closet swap, but she is the only person i do this with. all my friends have stellar wardrobes, but we don't trade. so i definitely get it, it's not for everyone. but for my sisters and i, it's always a go! 

so i'm curious, whose closet do you raid? or more importantly who do you let raid yours?
