I uploaded ALL my photos to try and get the new phone and now can not find any of them. SAD! I don't have as many photos to pull from as usual, just taking from instagram so I'm combining seasons!
SPRING
Grandma Kartchner came up to visit, so great to be with her. I left bawling because I felt like I'd probably never see her in this life again. I was a mess!
Hayes never-ending baseball season. I signed him up for PG Rec to play with August thinking it would just be 6 weeks - it lasted THE WHOLE SUMMER because of rain outs and they made the playoffs which were in Payson. SO much driving!! He still loves it though! Going to have to be smarter with our team location next season though!
HAYES 9th BDAY - super chill he opted for a Jazz Game with August over a big party which was a welcome break.
MOTHER'S DAY - I won't lie - holidays are hard for me to temper my expectations and lots of times even though I prep myself and really NEVER want to, I feel sad/disappointed. Mother's Day was one of those and it quickly unraveled. I made them drive me home from church before it even started and threw a fit of sorts. But then we decided to go on Jeep ride and just be out in nature and that helped turn the day around. Then we got home to a town wide power outage. The predicted time it would come back on kept getting pushed back and since we need power for WiFi among everything else up here we opted for a hotel. Ended up having the best time and great memories!
BETHANY + LAUREN shower -- also our house had just been flooded by a neighbor who forgot to shut off their irrigation one night. This week was a doozy but so glad to throw this for them!
We weren't able to get insurance to cover our floor damage for 7 months so this entire Summer and into the Fall the boys slept in the hallway by the toy room, and Raleigh slept in the toy room. Our neighbor who caused the damage was very apologetic and willing to right wrongs at first but then saw the bill and changed his tune. So disappointing! Luckily our insurance saved the day.
4th of JULY
RALEIGH'S 3rd! I rented all these amazing lawn games like parachutes, big kickballs, giant inflatable bubbles you can get in and play sports or roll down giant hills (so dangerous but thankfully no one got hurt!)
Our first Wallsburg 24th - the boys carried the flag in the parade and we witnessed with wildest rodeo EVER. Wallsburg is nuts.
MINI TRIPS
We did a ton of little trips to Manti, Bear Lake, and lots of lake days with fam and friends. We put good use to our paddle boards and had a wonderful Summer at the lake! Charity came with her kids and we always have a great time together!
We found the best babysitter in Wallsburg and found our rhythm with a weekly date night, it made such a huge difference for us and I've been so grateful for that blessing. Having available childcare has been a huge struggle of my parenting life!! Us at Third Eye Blind & Jimmy Eat World!
RUSS + HAYES to MINNESOTA
Russ took Hayes to a few games and met lots of family. Everyone was so wonderful to them, and Russ had such a great experience it got me thinking we needed to go back as a family. To Be Continued...
CHAD's family came to visit. Love their kids!!
Also celebrated the 10th year of Bijou Market and worked super hard on the venue!!
