i've given into the idea that this blog is my journal. i haven't touched my moleskin since last year... i turning the blog into a book is just what i need.
what i would want my kids, and their kids, and their kids to know
about me in this stage of my life?
my sister liz gave me the idea of "a day in the life" posts, mundane aspects of my life that i don't think are necessarily "blog-worthy":
like how i need to read before i can fall asleep, but when i read this book it gets me so excited to get up and decorate i don't sleep anyway...

or how i spend more time at work with this broad then my own husband at times.
i can't count how many times i come to work wearing the same thing as C.G.
after 40 hours/week with the same person you start becoming a little too similar...
does this happen when you stay at home with your kids too?
i wonder when the time will come when a job doesn't take up my days anymore?
or maybe how my house has been on my mind lately.
i dream of a day when my walls are covered in prints that make visitors chuckle.
i can see it now...
"This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath"
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath"
"No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again"
nothing momentous friendlies, just a day in the life.

That was a good post. A day in the life of me would probably just be embarrassing like how I went into the Mens bathroom yesterday.
Loved it!! Love to hear what is going on with your life!
I would never have thought someone on the universe would have the same killer taste in threads as you. That's cool.
I've been dieing to get my hands on that book. I'm excited to be inspired.
I love those lyrics too! :) See ya!
That's one of my favorite songs! I get her music stuck in my head too, but I don't mind at all. :)
I totally agree with Liz, that you have awesome taste in clothes. Too bad we don't live closer, I need a shopping buddy to get me out of my "mom threads" aka Jeans and a t-shirt.
Emily- Oh man i Do love ya! and I love that you actually keep your 'bblllloooggghha" up. I love hearing your thoughts and cant wait til new ones are posted.

I love that you have those lyrics stuck in your head. They are some of my favorite lyrics of all time! And I like the "day-in-the-life posts" idea, I only wish I had enough motivation to actually post on my blog every single day!
