sushi + a suit

like valentine's day, all russ wanted to do for his birthday was stay home, eat and watch a movie. he picked "W" (random).
i think we've become more social than he'd like.
luckily, my family got him out of the house for some happy sumo.

me + cha cha

peek-a-boo-avery-loo

eating edamame and contemplating life.

bethany in her twitch frames. "you know there's no lenses in those right?"

i love this picture, quey is such a little lady eating her soy beans.

his big birdie present was this slim fit suit,
i think it was more a gift for me so i could ogle him at church.
oww!

what kind of blogging wife would i be if i didn't brag about him 'til you begged for mercy?
on his birthday did russ:
a. do the laundry
b. organize the pantry
c. rub his wife's back
d. all of the above

and now he's in mom and dad's basement fixing a broken faucet that has left us without water for two days. you know how awkward it is to flush a toilet by pouring in a bucket full of water and praying that everything exits?

Hi Emily. I've got a "fashion" question for you of sorts. Where are your fave places to get clothes that don't require a serious amount of cash? You're always dressed so lovely! Those t-straps are to die for! Thanks!

Happy Berfdee! So not fair that your husband does any of those things, let alone all of them, on his birthday!!! Ugh. Jealous.

whitney: that is a great question which i took some time to think about so i can actually be helpful. i am a bargain shopper through and through. the only thing i splurge on is shoes, and the occasional pair of jeans.

i feel like to stretch out your wardrobe you really just need accessories: belts, shoes, jewelery, scarves, hats etc.

but for actual clothes:

blouses, dresses = gap
tees, skirts, sandals = old navy
jeans, accessories = forever 21

and i am always buried in sales racks at urban outfitters, anthro and banana republic

and when you're actually in the mood to dig (going when you're not is useless) go to thrift stores. that's where i find all my favorite pieces.

hope this helps!
