beach week by numbers

11 hours to drive to Oceanside
75 degrees & sunny
1 glistening tear in Russ' eye when he got to hold Hayes again after a whole week apart
1 grandma, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 sis-in-law, 1 boyfriend, 3 nieces (2 outside, one inside), & 1 baby boy in 1 beachfront house.

0 naps hayes took on the beach, much to much to look at.
50 refreshing degree ocean water
100 waves caught by russ
1 caught by me

452 times Quincey asked "es Hebbe seppe?" aka is Hayes sleeping? cutest thing ever.
3,056 times Hayes' cousins loved on him, said "oh he's kewwwt!" or "he's sooo smaalll!"
or "maybe he's fersty." he's a lucky boy.

3 excellent mexican meals. FINALLY!
4 packages of oreos dunked in 3 gallons of milk... mint, regular, double stuf mint & joe-joe's
1 night in Costa Mesa just me & my boys. i pick shopping in Costa Mesa over NYC, LA, or the like.
1 amazing meal at the yardhouse (our fave, thanks again Ingrid!)

2 times i turned on my camera. i brought more than one swimsuit, i just can't prove it. it's so great.
15 seconds until Hayes was done with sand in his toes/cold water on his legs.
3 teeth started the descent in Hayes' gums. he's going to look like a hillbilly vampire.
67 new freckles on my nose & cheeks.

13.5 to drive back (barstow phantom traffic & baby hit the wall at vegas, so we shopped around. no qualms there!)
1,000 times i felt relaxed, rejuvenated, and grateful for my awesome family.
a few more pics to come...

Love love love this post (and it's format)
and LOVED being with you three for a whole week!

Now I wake up and miss you all each and every single morning.

asked your little sis what was a highlight of the vacation: "Making Hayes smile!"

He was a trouper, do be in an unfamiliar environment PLUS be teething. Love that little babe!
