we're making baby step progress on Hayes' new room. the new baby will go in the nursery & he'll be moving into our much bigger old office/craft room. russ finished his built-in closet last week, and there are many many more elements to go. we have just about all the pieces to the puzzle acquired and now we're onto painting walls, floors & doors, refinishing furniture, and a few do-it-myself art projects.
one of the pieces arrived in the mail this weekend &
i had butterflies the second i saw it on my porch!
Craig Walton of CW Spray (based in West Virginia) is doing things with spray paint that you would not believe. we've been working together on a commissioned piece
and when i finally got that box open, i couldn't stop the tears from welling up.
seriously. wood & spray paint. unbelievable.
here's some detail shots:
i think it's absolutely the perfect medium for a little boys room, although we are pretty tempted to put it up where everyone can see it all the time!
i can't wait to get it hung! thank you Craig!
