petit gâteau moelleux

one of the best parts about doing PR for Bijou is the amazing people i get to meet, and on occasion, party with!

one of our vendors, Mercedes White of Mercedes Macarons has perfected the art of the macaron cookie for Utah's staggering altitude. when she offered to teach a class to a few bloggers, i jumped on it! it was such a fun evening, and here's a little video for you to see by  Collin Kartchner Studios:  the best part of the whole thing is Mercedes will be selling pre-made mixes so you can try at home (and she promises to help you along the way) or you can set up a class for you and a few friends to learn like we did! and of course she'll be selling macarons, all at Bijou Market this weekend!

we tried 7-8 different kinds of cookies, my favorite had to be the pistachio macaron with raspberry mascarpone filling, delicious!

thanks Mercedes for such a fun evening, to Collin for filming and to Shelley for hosting (her house is incredible.)
