home is where the cheese is

i am {happy/sad/excited/nervous} to announce that russ and i will be moving to a little place called woodville wisconsin. we acquired 10 acres there and once we sell our house here, we'll start the building process. probably by this time next year... sionara utah-son!

building a house is not for the weak-hearted. its like wedding planning times 1,000,000.
i'm also sorry to say this blog will probably overflow with useless housery postage... like my favorite house plans below...

cons:
family and friends are a 4 hour flight away
killer cold winters
"rolling hills" aka no mountains
slight chance i might start talking like the mom on bobby's world

pros:
you can build your dream house in wisconsin for the same $ as building a shanty in utah
twins baseball / viking football season tickets (russ' pro)
mall o' america 30 minutes away (my pro)
out of the happy valley bubble
scads of amazing medical schools

thats awesome emily! It is actually kind of hard leaving happy valley though. I was so excited to get out, but now I miss it. It is really good though for a marriage. good luck. ps. the place dave works at has a plant in wisconsin, maybe we will get transfered out there one day and we can be friends!

What on earth am I going to do without you here? The one girl who will always plan a party with me, is always up for doing something with me, and the one and only client that has been with me since day one? Em this seriously brought tears to my eyes... happy and sad ones of course!! We better live up the year. One last Summer swimming all the time??? What do you say?

Speaking as one who has moved 4 times in my short marriage I know how it feels but what an adventure for you two! Your house will be so perfect. I can't wait to see all the building updates on your blog.
