this week has left me with such a heavy heart...
i was reminded again and again this week how fragile life is,
and how quickly it can be taken away.
with the loss of innocent little ones & massive destruction in haiti everything feels so fleeting.
i overheard a man saying that now is the time when God tests us to see how we will act, how we will treat others, and i agree!

“All about us there are many who are in need of help and who are deserving of rescue. Our mission in life, as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, must be a mission of saving. There are the homeless, the hungry, the destitute.” - President Gordon B. Hinckley, 1991. |
watching the news last night it filled me with happiness to see my church already packing plane after plane full of food & supplies. russ has always felt strongly about donating to their humanitarian aid fund, and i feel a little better knowing our hard earned dollars are really doing some good right now.
i'm still stuck somewhere between anxiety & gratitude. i might be for awhile. if anything, this week has changed me. with every little kick my son musters, i feel so much gratitude. i know miracles are real, he has proven that to me.
i know there's more miracles left for those who've felt loss this week.
i hope everyone has a peaceful weekend.
if you feel inclined, you can donate through the humanitarian fund here.
