limonata at home

a couple years ago our Costco started carrying Limonata - and i was pretty pumped, apparently. we bought enough to last us 2 summers and now we're officially out.
my late night craving for the dry, crispy drink moved me to try & make my own.

it's pretty close to the real deal & the men in my life sure enjoyed it.
meaning, i drank the glass pictured here, and they drank the rest.

sure it's an Italian drink, but i'm pretty sure no one would care at your Cinco De Mayo party tonight.

Limonata
1 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
1 c. simple syrup (1 c. sugar dissolved into 1 c. water over a stove top)
4 c. san pellegrino sparkling water
chill 2-3 hours & serve over ice

p.s. i only tested this recipe once, so if you perfect it, please update me!
