holy cow six years is a long time to be married!
we've got a lot of celebrating to do...
*two healthy, happy & beautiful children
*working for ourselves and the freedom it brings
*and this story...
a couple years ago Russ & I came up with a whistle. a specific sound that we would know was the other person if we ever got lost in a crowd. the other day we split up while shopping at a big box grocery super store which shall not be named (i do not endorse it, but we had to go.) and i left my phone in the car.
the boys and i walked the aisles looking for him without luck. so, i started "the whistle" and off in the distance i heard it echoed to me. i followed the sound and continued my whistle. with every echo my heart started beating faster, little butterflies filled my stomach and a wide smile was unremovable from my face. when i finally got close enough to see his face, we were both smiling ear to ear.
so we're celebrating the little butterflies all these years later, because that is something to celebrate!
i love you Russ, happy anniversary!

That is adorable! You guys are so cute. My mom did/does a similar whistle with us kids. She opted for the whistle rather than the leashes.

We do a little whistle too! It's funny and fun because when you find them it's like youre a little kid again playing hide and seek. :). Happy six years!! And many more.

Happy Anniversary! -- I love the whistle story. Jared has a whistle that he developed when he was about 3 that he used to let me know where he was if we were separated. He still uses it! :)

My friends and I once picked numbers, there were ten of us, and we'd shout "ROLL CALL" and shout out our numbers from 1 to 10. We loved it.
